Support the Holden Beach Flotilla. Support Brunswick Family Assistance. Put your business in front of thousands of local residents, visitors and boaters during the holiday season.
For more than two decades, a special holiday tradition brought families, boaters, businesses, and communities together along the Intracoastal Waterway. The Ocean Isle Flotilla became much more than a parade of decorated boats. It became a celebration of the Christmas season and, most importantly, a way for the community to come together to help families in need.
When that tradition came to an end, there was a feeling that something special was missing.
The Holden Beach Flotilla was created to bring that spirit back.
On Saturday, November 28, 2026, boats will once again light up the waterways around Holden Beach as families and visitors gather along the route to watch a spectacular evening of lights, music, and holiday spirit. But behind all those lights is a much bigger purpose.
For more than two decades, the Christmas Flotilla was a special part of the holiday season in Brunswick County. Families gathered along the water, businesses came together, and boats filled the Intracoastal Waterway with lights, music and Christmas spirit.
When that tradition came to an end, something more than a boat parade was lost. A community tradition that brought people together—and helped local families—was gone.
Now, Holden Beach is picking up that torch.
The 2026 Holden Beach Flotilla is more than a night of decorated boats. It is a new holiday tradition built around an old Brunswick County value: when our neighbors need help, we come together.
That's why the Holden Beach Flotilla is proud to support Brunswick Family Assistance (BFA).
BFA works throughout Brunswick County to help individuals and families facing difficult circumstances, providing assistance with food, housing, utilities and other basic needs. During the holiday season, that mission becomes especially important as families work to make ends meet while trying to give their children the Christmas they deserve.
We believe a family shouldn't have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting presents under the tree.
That's where a community can make a difference.
Every boat that joins the Flotilla, every business that becomes a sponsor, every person who comes out to watch, and every contribution made helps turn a night of Christmas lights into something much bigger.
On November 28, we'll gather at Holden Beach to celebrate the season, bring people together and help make Christmas a little brighter for Brunswick County families.
The boats are the attraction.
The community is the reason.
BFA is the purpose.
This is the beginning of a new Holden Beach tradition—and we hope you'll be part of it.
